New Dischord Festival of Inter-media arts has taken place annually in Chattanooga,
Tennessee since 2010. This four-day festival represents a satellite collective of experimental arts communities throughout the country, gathering to form a common text of visual, sonic, and performance-based works.
Created in response to Ashley Hamilton’s installation Repeating Gaze, this video piece places emphasis on visual repetition. Projected at the entrance to the gallery, viewers were forced to walk through the video, initiating an awareness of their body in relation to the work and the space.
